Em is a theatre director and creative practitioner based in North Wales. She has recently worked with companies such as Craidd and Theatr Clwyd, and has experience creating imaginative and accessible theatre that connects with local communities. She is particularly drawn to bold, collaborative storytelling that enhances the shared experience of live performance. As a director, she has experience in Shakespeare, new writing and immersive theatre. As a facilitator, she’s experienced in co-creating devised work with young people and directing workshops in educational settings.

Em graduated from Leeds Conservatoire in 2024 and has further developed her practice through the Creative Stages programme with Papertrail and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and the Insight Directors Scheme at Theatr Clwyd.

Em recently was appointed Creative Director of PurpleDoor theatre, a North-West based theatre company who use classical theatre to champion working-class artists and provide artistic development to Northern creatives.
